This series works within the area of constructed, narrative photography to create a spoof documentary. It focuses its attention on drug related issues and draws into question the commercialised and sometimes comical portrayal of drugs in the media. The work uses masked characters to document drug use, with stereotypes and word play based on factual information being the defining features of the work. ---------- Meet Steve. Upon meeting another of his kind he is tempted into the allegedly exciting world of Ketamine, only to discover it is not all it is cracked up to be……
This series explores and challenges our preconceived notions of landscape photography, and how, through framing, a once inanimate natural object can become a visual spectacle. The concept developed from an idea that through looking, land becomes landscape, and landscape then becomes art.
Meet Steve. A lonesome horse headed man whose life is crippled by Numerophobia: the irrational fear of numbers. Upon discovering the significance of a once-in-a-century numerical moment; 12:34:56 on the 07/08/09, his day is then plagued with superstition as he unwittingly encounters these numbers in order.
